FAQ

What will this work cost?

Of course, this depends on the scope of your project, the equipment required and the labor needed to install it properly in your particular layout. We sit down with every customer to review costs by category, so there are no surprises.

If I have a forced hot air system, can I add air conditioning?

Yes, this is not a difficult expansion of your existing system. We recommend several brands that have proven, consistent performance for our previous customers.

How long should my furnace last?

A hot air system should last at least 20 to 25 years. A cast-iron boiler can keep functioning for 40 to 50 years, but you need to check its efficiency by evaluating the way the burner runs. You don’t want to pay for costly energy to go straight up your chimney.

Clear signs that your furnace may need replacement are noisy start-ups, the smell of flue gases and higher than expected fuel bills. Talk to us about how to make your building as comfortable and efficient as possible.
How long will it take to install a new system?

If you will be using existing duct work, we can upgrade a furnace in one day. A boiler may take just over one working day. Installing a new system, including new duct work, can take anywhere from a week to 10 days, depending upon the complexity of the job.
